Melamchi Municipality ward no. 4 is Thakani. Its total area is 19.13 square kilometres. All the wards of the former Thakani Village Development Committee have been merged to form the current Ward No. 4.
The eastern border of Thakani is connected with Sindhukot and Talamarang. And, The western border is connected with Talakhu and Dupcheshor of Nuwakot District. Similarly, The northern and southern borders are connected with Mahakal (Helambu) and Jaisi Gaun/ Haibung respectively.
