Suryabinayak Municipality

Suryabinayak Municipality is the local government in Bhaktapur district, Nepal.  This municipality was established during the state structure after the new constitution, i.e., during the implementation of federalism, based on the information published in the gazette by the Government of Nepal on the 27th of Falgun 2073. This municipality is named after the famous Suryabinayak Temple. This municipality is the home to ancient art & culture, heritage, natural resources & religious sites. 

There are 10 ward offices in Suryabinak Municipality. Similarly, the total area of the municipality is 42.45 square kilometres. It extends from 85 degrees 23 minutes east longitude to 85 degrees 29 minutes north Latitude. It spreads from 1372 metres to 2025 metres altitude from sea level. This municipality is divided into two main areas.

      1. South hilly region

      2. Valley area

The eastern border of Suryabinayak is connected with Kavre. Similarly, Madhyapur Thimi & Mahalaxmi Municipality are in the western part of this municipality. Kavre & Mahalaxmi are in the southern part of this municipality. Additionally, The northern part is connected with Bhaktapur & Changu Narayan Municipality.
