The Nepal Super League (NSL) is back with its third season, organised by the Nepal Sports and Events Management (NSEM) with technical support from the ANFA. It starts on March 29, 2025, at Dasharath Stadium in Kathmandu. Sponsored by Ncell, the 2025 edition features seven teams competing for the coveted title.
The seven teams playing this season are Kathmandu Rayzrs, Lalitpur City FC, Pokhara Thunders, Butwal Lumbini FC, Dhangadhi FC, FC Chitwan, and Jhapa FC. Unlike the previous season, which had nine teams, this edition does not include Birgunj United FC and Sporting Ilam De Mechi FC. Among the seven teams this year, only Jhapa FC is new. The other six teams have played in all three seasons. Biratnagar City FC participated in the first season (2021) but has not returned since.

The tournament follows a single round-robin format, where each team plays against all others once. The top four teams will compete in the qualifier and eliminator matches to decide the finalists. The final match is scheduled for April 26.

2025 Nepal Super League season 3, with the winning team set to receive prize money ranging from NPR 7 million to NPR 10 million. This is a significant increase from the first edition's prize of NPR 3.5 million.
Player Auction and Team Composition
The player auction for this season took place on February 22, 2025. Each team was allowed to retain between two to three players from the previous season and build a squad comprising:

- 2-3 A-grade players
- 6 B-grade players
- 3 C-grade players
- 1 D-grade player
- 1 rookie
- 6 foreign or iconic players (including at least one from an Asian nation)
- 1 non-resident player
