Petku was the Village development committee of Sindhupalchowk. During the state restructuring, this VDC had changed to ward no. 6 of Lisankhupakhar Rural Municipality.
The eastern border of Petku is connected with Tripurasundari Rural Municipality. And, the western border is connected with Thulopakhar village. Similarly, the northern and southern borders are connected with Sunkoshi Rural Municipality and Jethal respectively.
