Among the 11 prominent mountains of the Jugal Ice Range, Gyalzen Peak is the most prominent mountain. Gyalzen Peak is located in the Jugal Rural Municipality of Sindhupalchok District, northeast of Kathmandu (about 145 km), the capital of Nepal. Its height is 6151 meters ( 20180 Ft.) above sea level. This mountain is also known as Lenpo Gang East / Gyalsen Peak. This mountain is spread over 28º 11' 02" latitude and 85º 50' 30" longitude.

Gyalzen peak is 6.8 km east of Dorje Lakpa mountain and 5.7 km west of Yangri peak.

Climbing History 

For the first time, two Nepali climbing teams successfully climbed Gyalzen Peak in the spring season of 2019 by using the South-South East face route. These two teams climbed Gyalzen Peak without a route. Of course, let's say that these teams climbed this mountain by making a route to climb it.
