NOC is the Public enterprise of the Nepal Government that imports petroleum products from outside the country. Then, It fixes the rate of these products. And, supplies for the retailers/stations spread over the country. There are no competitive distributors of petroleum products in Nepal. So, It is a monopoly industry where only NOC distributes petroleum products. Petroleum products refer to Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, Aviation fuel, and LPG.

Nepal Oil Corporation fixes the price of Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, LPG, and Aviation fuel in Nepal. Furthermore, It adjusts petrol and diesel prices every 15 -15 days. Nepal Oil Corporation brings petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation. And, it determines the price accordingly. Moreover, The price of petrol and diesel in Nepal is adjusted according to the price set by the Indian Oil Corporation.
