Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) is the sole distributor of petroleum products in Nepal. NOC is a Public enterprise of the Nepal Government that imports petroleum products from outside the country. All petroleum products are currently imported from India. Petrol, diesel, kerosene, and jet fuel come from places like Barauni, Motihari, Siliguri, Betalpur, Gonda, Banthra, and Lucknow. LP Gas is imported from Barauni, Durgapur, Haldia, Mathura, and Paradip.
Nepal Oil Corporation fixes the price of Petrol, Diesel, Kerosene, LPG, and Aviation fuel in Nepal. Furthermore, it adjusts petrol and diesel prices every 15 -15 days. Nepal Oil Corporation brings petroleum products from the Indian Oil Corporation and determines the price accordingly. The price of petrol and diesel in Nepal is adjusted according to the price set by the Indian Oil Corporation.
